Father's Day 2008 6:00pm in Anne Arundel County 1 hour from home.
I had a lot of odds stacked against me. My
dog is not cute, little, fluffy, friendly or white. My dog is sporty, large, scruffy, shy and black.
I also lost him and didn't know it. I was traveling
a 9 mile stretch of road 1 hour away from home. He jumped out of a moving vehicle Lastly, I let way too much time go by without help.
I also found my dog 27 days later. But I didn't do it on my own or you would not be reading my story on this web page. This is our story.

Voice-mail received: "Hi my name is Sherry and my dog is lost and I don't
know where. I know this sounds awful but he was there in the back seat and it was so hot, I rolled the window down for him.
I know I saw him at the highway but when we got to 50, he was gone. I don't know where he jumped out. Please
help me. I'm going crazy driving for miles calling his name. I have no idea where to start looking.
Please call me back."

Can you go to Google and email a jpg photo of the sightings instead
of the live version. It is the first selection on the menu after you ask Google to email the map to me. ~Karin

Hours of riding up and down that 9 mile stretch calling out to my dog Chewy
resulted in my returning home 10:30 at night empty handed, stressed out, and cried out, with a sore throat, in other words
a complete wreck. My family in other counties also becoming a wreck concerned about me. They knew how much I love Chewy. I took off Monday to continue what I now look back on as a waste of time to run the roads
calling Chewy's name. I spent my time on the
phone calling the local papers for that area (which I knew nothing of) and putting in ads. The internet became a research
tool.
Tuesday, I called out for work again, but change my mind, go to work and then
end up leaving early anyway to go feel sorry for myself at home. Wednesday,
I call Karin Tarqwyn Private Investigator for lost dogs. Karin profiled my dog. Every breed and situation is different so
this was essential. Karin guided my poster design and placement. Her methods and techniques worked. By 1:00 Saturday afternoon I had the whole road of Rt 424, part of Rt 2 and 214 covered with huge eye catching posters.
They simmer on the telephone poles for a week before I get a call. A
sighting. Someone driving on Rt. 424 saw Chewy running across Wilson's Farm and saw my huge poster. (Friday June 27th)

Karin has said she cannot come to the east coast. with gas prices skyrocketing,
I know this would be an expensive option anyway. In the mean time I learn there is a local area pet tracker. My Husband, friends and family head out the next day (Saturday June 28th) to talk to the
farmers. I asked if I could set out a feeding station and the farmer
agreed. I ran out the next morning (Sunday June 29th) to see if the food
had been eaten and it had. A trap was set that very night. The trap was not tripped at all. A week later we packed it up No further sightings.
Time to track. I
called for the local tracker, Sam Connelly of Pure Gold Pet Trackers.

...this is the update from this morning. 1 of the 2 bowls
of dog food was eaten. Lots of grass disturbance around the area... If the food is food eaten this evening...I
will set a trap for him. Any thoughts or ideas. Sherry

Karin, We placed a trap very near your suggested site. Zoom in closer... you will there is a break in the tree line you out lined. It is a dirt/grass bridge over the water into
the next field (corn). We placed the trap just as you walk into that area into the brush. I'm going to go check the
trap now. I'll keep you posted. Sherry
